In this custom renovated kitchen, the goal was to maximize design and function in a rather small kitchen that would include a small island. Taking advantage of geometric angles, careful selection of the perfect, unusual wood, spalted maple with veins running through it that mimic the “river-like veins” traversing the granite and the design in the flooring tile, together with a glass backsplash, a mini chandelier, and a jute roman shade that mirrors the wood makes for a kitchen of sheer elegance!
